Although it's beautiful with some fantastic music, the level can ultimately be frustrating especially when Lara has to deal with a fair share of enemies by getting out of the boat to shoot at them before getting back in. Overall, it's a fine level for what it is but there certainly are better.

7 🌳 The Lost City Of Tinnos 🐎

Difficult But Great

Perhaps one of the more atmospheric levels of the classic trilogy, The Lost City of Tinnos is a large level with plenty of puzzles that will even test Lara's resolve as you traipse through different elemental-themed tests. From swimming through spinning blades to fiery traps, the level sees Lara trying to go after the villain, Dr Mark Willard, before he makes a mistake he'll regret.

As well as this, the level sees Lara deal with the terrifying Tinnos Mutants, hulking alien-looking creatures with sharp appendages and ranged attacks that will end up killing😼 you again and again. Overall, whilst the level is great, its difficulty can be tough wi🌺th puzzles testing your patience as you have to be good at the tank controls if you ever hope to make it through.

6 Hig♒h Security Compound

A Unique, Intense And Thrilling Level

It may be a little odd, but yes, Lara does go through a high-security compound which is appropriately titled High Security Compound. After being♒ imprisoned by two guards, the level sees Lara trying to💛 break out of this compound, which offers one of the most unique settings seen in these games.

The level starts you off with nothing but a medpack, and you must traipse through imposing cell blocks and dark passageways in this labyrinth of steel while avoiding guards and freeing prisoners (who will be a massive help in subduing guards across the level). It's large, looming and honestly a little confusing, but it is a very interesting setting.

One Of The Best Landmarks For Lara Croft

After the fantastic sales and overnight success 🐼of Tomb Raider, it makes sense that there were high expectations and hype for its sequel. Well, the opening level, The Great Wall — which, yes, is set around The Great Wall of China — came to show everyone 𓆉the Tomb Raider series is here to stay.

A fantastic and breathtaking opening level filled with great greenery, cobwebbed caves, and terrifying traps, it perfectly sets the stage of Lara's next adventure and is a fantastic use of an actual famous landmark.

Perhaps The Best Final Level of The Series

Temple of Xian may be Tomb Raider 2's last level, but it is definitely far from last place. If there was ever a level that would perfectly encapsulate the best of Tomb Raider, it would be St Francis' Folly. A masterclass in design, this level will have you dying over and over again, but keep on trying as you go through section by section trying to find the keys you need to progress.

The level is mostly known for its iconic hall of pillars, which need to be carefully navigated by scaling and dropping on different broken-off sections. You spend the level trying to research the different areas, which will lead you to rooms with puzzles to solve and enemies to defeat, all to attain the key you require. It is historical, challenging, exhilarating, and, overall, a fantastic level that is Tomb Raide🅰r at its best.
