Gone are the days of horrible live-action adaptations of games, such as the Super Mario Bros. movie from 1983… Well, maybe they’re not entirely gone, but we are taking some steps in the right direction. A Zelda movie is a dream come true for many. What will it be about? Will the typical “rescue Princess Zelda from Ganon” cliché be the main plot of the movie? Only time will tell. We know the movie is being produced by Nintendo itself, so we can♔ expect it to have a lot of care put into it, and it’s unlikely it will drop the ba𒅌ll.

9 Metroid

This is an obvious one, right? When you actually think about it, 16꧂8澳洲幸运5开奖网:Metroid borrows heavily from the Alien movies𝕴, and this has even been confirmed by game director Yoshio Sakamoto. The similarities are there when you look for them: a female lead arriving on an alien planet, th🍌e gloomy atmosphere, and fear of being haunted by an impossible-to-beat creature.

Even the bosses’ names are taken from Alien: the iconic boss Ridley is named🤡 after the movie’s director, Ridley Scott. And the final boss, Mother Brain, shares a name with Mother, the computer of the Nostromo ship. After the release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2♓023, and the opening of the Donkey Kong Country expansion of the Super Nintendo World theme park in 2024, it’s safe to say this is the perfect t💞ime for a DK spin-off movie, right?

Although Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong probably wasn't the most beloved perfor🍌mance of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, his fight scene with Chris Pratt’s Mario is one of the movie’s peaks in terms of comedy and gaming references. We even saw what appears to be a new character design for ♔DK in the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal trailer, that closely resembles the movie version.

A Donkey Kong spin-off movie featuring the Kongs we all know and love, like Diddy, Dixie, Cranky,𝓡 Funky and, of course, the main villain, King K. Rool would be a sight to behold.

7 Kirby

Kirby is everyone’s favorite pink puffy ball of happiness. We’ve all seen how basically the entire universe has been saved by Kirby in the Smash games, not only once, but twice: first, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s Subspace Emis𒐪sary, and most recently in Super Smash Bros.ꦺ Ultimate’s World Of Light, let alone how many times he’s saved the world in his own games. He deserves his own movie.

This could be Nintendo’s take on a movie for an even younger audience. Kirby’s c𒀰ute and colorful aesthetics would work perfectly as a way to capture children’s attention, and in turn, get them excited about gaming.

6 Star Fox

Remember the opening scene of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith? The one where Anakin and Obi Wan are flying over Coruscant in their Starfighters trying to break into General Grevious’s ship to rescue Chancellor Palpatine? There’s a huge space battle going on, with hundreds of ships shooting at each other at the same time, lasers and explosions everywhere, and it is just awesome. Well, ꦦisn’t that a perfec⛄t pitch for a Star Fox movie?

Imagine Star Fox, maybe in a fight against Star Wolf, and instead of Anakin’s famous “this is where the fun begins” line, you could have Peppy say one of the most (in)famous lines of the Nintendo 64 era: “do a barrel roll”. It almost fits just too perfectly.

5 EarthBound ꦜ

Earthbound, or M🧜other, is th♕e cult classic of Nintendo’s RPGs. Yes, the Mother series is not exactly famous for leaving Japan, but what better way to introduce western audiences to the games than with a movie? Earthbound was basically a Japanese man’s version of what life was for a kid in 1990s America.

An Earthbound movie would help outsiders know the series, and people could finally learn where Smash Bros.’ most annoying move ever, PK Fire, comes from. Also, if the movie does well and calls for a sequel, why not help market it by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:releasing Mother 3 in the west, once and for all. We♈ all wiꦚn, and it would be legendary.

4 🤡Princess Peach: Showtime! & The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom

In 2024, Nintendo did the unthinkable: they finally let us play as their most famous and beloved princesses, Peach and Zelda. Fans have waited for a playable Princess Zelda probably ever since the first Zelda game, you know, because of the whole name of the franchise. Equally, the “168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario has t✨o rescue Princess Peach from Bowser” trope 🎀might be getting a little repetitive by now, so it’ꦜs time for Peach to be the center of the action for once.

So, given the launch of Princess Peach: Show Time!, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, it’s probably a good idea to give them both their own standalone movies. You could even have ✤Anya Taylor-Joy voicing Princess Peach again, as she did a pretty good job in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

3 F-Zero

You’re probably thinking, why should Nintendo m🔯ake a movie about a racing game with no story at all? Well, it turns out that F-Zero does have a story. And a pretty interesting one at that. It was just n🐽ot included in the game itself, but rather, in the instruction manual, in the form of a pretty cool short comic book.

This is where we learn about the F-Zero races, about Captain Falcon as a character, his profession as a bounty hunter, and all of his rivals, like Samurai Goroh. A movie about all this backstory, mixed in with some races and action set-pieces would maybe give Nintendo the inspiration they need to finally rev♛ive the F-Zero franchise with another entry in the series.

2 Pikmin

This one might be a challenge, but with enough Pikmin, you can fill up any screen. There is a certain feeling of satisfaction when🦹 playing Pikmin that you get through the little details, like the sound of the tiny Pikmin steps when they walk around, or their cute an✅d loyal personality.

Maybe Nint🦩endo can exploit that, combined with the plot of the game, to get a sort of Cast Away – Despicable Me hybrid, that can appeal to 𒁃both younger and more mature audiences. If they manage to capture that feeling of urgency and tension that you get in the games when you are running out of time, this could definitely make for a great movie.

1 Fire Emblem ಌ

While Super Smash Bros. fans might be a little tired or even alienated by the idea of Fire Emblem, just because there is an overabundance of Fir🦩e Emblem representation in Smash, that does not me𝔍an the games are bad by any means, or that there isn’t movie ad🎉aptation material here.

There are plenty of great stories in the Fire Emblem series that would make great adaptations for the big screen. Just to name the -probably- better-known one, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire Emblem: Three Houses has a pretty interesting st♓ory and it would be a fresh new idea to see in a m𒊎ovie about a game.
