The game takes place during summer vacation, as so many halfway-canon adventures do, having you explore the Luna Nova Magic Academy in a 2.5D perspective, while battles take place on a side-scrolling plane with dungeon-room exploration. It's a cute little game that celebrates the anime's joy, and all within the academy.

Academagia is a fascinating game, heralding a style of game ꧅quite uncommon nowadays. Rather than being a 3D game that lets you explore a whimsical magical academy, it instead is almost entirel🗹y text-based, like pen-and-paper RPGs of old. But because of that, the game has such incredible depth.
You're a new arrival in the school, and have to figure out your new life on the fly, building a new magical one for yourself. You'll mess up, undoubtedly, but that's part of the joy of it all. You're forced to indulge in this new life of magic, and with so many random events, it's unlikely any academic year will ever be the same.

Ikenfell takes place in, well, the magic school of Ikenfell, putting you in control of six students and their adventures throughout.
