Yet, not many stealth titles come to mind when thinking about co-op. It's a genre that has traditionally been about single-player experiences. Over the years, though, several games have shown that sneaking around with a friend can be just as enjoyable - perhaps even more so - than doing it alone. For instance, here are the best co-op experiences that put plenty of focus on remaining out of sight.

Updated August 26, 2022 By Ben Jessey: Stealth games have been around for a long time, and cooperative play has also been around for many years. Yet, for some reason, great stealth co-op games are hard to find.

This is why this list exists, as it provides some recommendations for those looking to sneak around with a friend or two. A bunch of good games made it into the collection. But a few other enjoyable titles missed out, so we've now added them to the list, too.

12 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, And Stadia)

Type Of Co-op: 2-4 Player Online Co-op

This entry in the Ghost Recon series takes you to Bolivia, where the Cartel is running things. They have taken over many regions of the ﷺcountry,🀅 and your job is to loosen their grip by disrupting their operations and eliminating their members one by one.

Wildlands isn't an out-and-out stealth game. Instead, it is a sandbox adventure where you're free to tackle missions in pretty much any way you see fit. It just so happens that sneaking around bases, stealthily taking out enemies, and completing objectives is one of those options. The better coordination you have with your teammates, the more successful you will be.

11 𝔍 The Blackout Club (PC, Xbox One, And PlayStation 4)

Type Of Co-op: 2-4 Player Online Co-op

Not only is The Blackout Club a stealth title, but it's also a horror game. In it, you play as a group of teenagers from a suburban town. This is no ordinary suburb, though, as there is a strange invisible presence that stalks the place. Plus, all the adults are acting strange and will attack you on sight.

The goal is to figure out what's happening while trying to find your missing friend. Each in-game day, you get a set of objectives to complete. And as you don't have much combat prowess, you must do them stealthily and use your gadgets to out-maneuver the adults.

10 Far Cry 6 (PC, Xbo𓂃x One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, And Stadia)

Type Of Co-op: 2 Player Online Co-op

Far Cry 6 follows the series trend of having you leading the charge against an unstable leader and the army they've built. On this occasion, you're trying to stop the dictator of a fictional country called Yara. You can do all of this with an ally by your side.

Along with o♛ptional co-op, the game also has optional stealth as almost ever💫y situation in Far Cry 6 can be solved by sneaking around. You can even recruit stealth-based animals to help you out.

9 Styx: Shards Of Darkness (PC, Xbox One, And PlayStation 4) 🎐

Type Of Co-op: 2 Player Online Co-op

In most stealth games, you play as a secret agent, a ninja, or a criminal of some kind. However, during Styx: Shards Of Darkness, you control a goblin or pair of goblins. Their race is being discriminated against ꩵas many people see them as vermin.

Unfortunately, you don't have the physical capabilities to make them all pay with their blood. So, instead, you have to sneak around most of your adversaries. And the stealth gameplay is enjoyable because you can do things like hide under tables, set traps, and turn temporarily invisible. It's even more exciting if you do all those things with a teammate.

8 Sp🤡linter Cell: Chaos Theory (PC, GameCube, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, And Nintendo 3DS)

Type Of Co-op: 2 Player Couch And Online Co-op (PC version is onlinℱe only)

Chaos Theory was the first game in the Splinter Cell series to incorporate co-op. While the likes of Conviction have perhaps improved on the cooperative play, thisꦛ first attempt is still amazing.

Splinter Cell's signature brand of stealth translates well to a two-player experience. In fact, there are a few things you can do in co-op that you can't in the single-player. You lose out of Sam Fisher, though, as you play as the less impressive Agent 1 and 2. However, the well-designed missions and game mechanics make up for it.

7 Payday 2 (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, And Nintend𝐆o Switch)

Type Of Co-op: 2-4 Player Online Co-op

The premise of Payday 2 is simple: a crew of criminals goes on various jobs trying to enhance their wealth. You may expect this game to be all about bank heists and store robberies, but there's actually more variety than that. For instance, one job has you rigging an election.

While single-player is an option, the title is best when playing with others, especially in the harder heists where coordination is almost vital. As for the stealth aspect, the title doesn't seem like a sneaking game on the surface. However, many of the jobs can be done while keeping quiet, as long as you're highly skilled - or have great equipment.

6 Aragami 2 (PC, Xb🉐ox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S/X, And PlayStation 5)

Type Of Co-op: 2-3 Player Online Co-op

The Aragami are a race o๊f elite warriors who have a supernatural ability to control shadows. In the second game, a few of them attempt to save their village by driving off invading armies. Naturally, you play as one of the Aragami, and you can also have a friend join you on your quest.

Even when there are two of you, the game doesn't expect you to engage the invaders in all-out combat. Instead, Aragami 2 heavily encourages you to sneak around in the dark and only strike when the moment is right. In fact, fighting multiple enemies head-on usually results in death, and it's not as fun.

5 Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP, PlayStation 3, And Xbo𓃲x 360)

Type Of Co-op: 2 🍎Player Online Co-op (4 Players Are Avaꦗilable For Non-Stealth Missions)

In many people's eyes, Metal Gear Solid is t🥀he definitive stealth series (Splinter Cell fans might disagree, though). And Peace Walker might be MGS's most underrated title. It follows Naked Snake as he tries to get over his mentor's death and live up to the title of Big Boss. As is typical for a Metal Gear game, the story is a compelling one.

Something that isn't typical for the series, though, is the inclusion of co-op. You can play most of the Ops in the game with a balaclava-wearing buddy. Thankfully, having an ally doesn't negatively impact MGS' signature brand of stealth that involves plenty of creeping around and knocking guards out.

4 Monaco: What's Yours is Mine (PC, Xbox 360, And Nintendo Switch)

Type Of Co-op: 2-4 Player Couch And Online Co-op

Monaco is a stylish game about a team of thieves who go on a litany of different heists and steal anything of value. The title is at its best when playing co-operatively. Each member of the crew has their own role and abilities. And the better cohesion you have, the more likely you're to succeed.

In stealth games, you usually expect slow and methodical gameplay, but that's not the case here. You sneak around and break into things at speed. And it makes robberies very chaotic, especially when you've got multiple players running around. The mayhem is a joy to behold.

3 🤪 Splinter Cell: Conv♚iction (PC And Xbox 360)

Splinter Cell Conviction Screenshot Of Coop Scene near the end before extraction.

Type Of Co-op: 2 Player Couch (Xbox 360 Only) And Online Co-op

The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Splinter Cell series has always been about the adventures of Sam Fisher, and the main story in Conviction is no different. However, there is also a separate co-op campaign that features two other agents in Archer and Kestrel. While their story isn't as compelling as the main one, the co-op play makes up for it.

Hiding in shadows, climbing pipes, and taking out guards is simply more exciting when you've got someone by your side. And not only do you get to do those things in the campaign, but the game also has two-player side activities. It's not the only entry in the series to include co-op. Yet, the others don't do it quite as well, which makes Conviction one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best Splinter Cell games ever.
