Reunited with Cheshire in Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, you approach the near end of this adventure after your prison break in Puca's Fortress. Having gained the ability to Regenerate, you'll now have a way to chase the Faerie King for a tough battle and the promise of your final elemental core.
Thankfully, this chapter is perhaps one of the shortest installments in the story, and you've already faced the terrible Jabberwock. Stride confidently through this last portion of Puca's Fortress, and put that blabbering king in his place so you may take your final steps toward saving Lucaon.
Chasing After The King
After the long series of cutscenes ends, travel left to a broken platform. Using your Witch's Pulse on it now will activate a special dance (roll your Right Joystick to the right in a circle) and your Regenerate ability.
With the platform now fixed, jump across to the Arcane Lantern where you should definitely take this opportunity to save your game a🌳nd ensure you have the maximum amount of Healing Tonꦜics.
Grab the Journal piece as you travel east ꦰacross gears to🌸 another broken platform.
Regenerate the platform and step onto the elevator. Activate the device to ascend into the next area. As you reach the top, you'll immediately see the Fire Elemental Core ahead.
However,🍷 nothing can be so simple. Moving toward the🧸 Fire Elemental Core will trigger a cutscene and a fight with Puca, The Faerie King.
Fighting Puca
For an in-depth guide to fighting this boss and🎐 his summons, clꦆick here!
Puca, dramatic and c꧒owardly, will b🔴egin his fight by summoning an angel to do his dirty work for him.
He'll fire magic from afar to make your life more difficult as you fight the angel known as "Affinity." Avoid these strikes until you get the angel's health down enough to trigger the blowing wind and open the Iron Maiden.
Strike the angel until it's pushed back into the Iron Maiden and defeated. This will, in turn, throw you into the strange second phase: a⛄ puzzle maze.
The buttons on each character's path will typically open the doors on their companion's side (e.g., hitting a button on Cheshire's side will open a door for Cereza). There are multiple fire traps, a spinning wheel of death behind you, and Puca's magic onslaught to deal with.
Some of the magic Puca summons will be balls of fire that act as obstacles. Put them out with Aquastream.
Begin by putting Cheshire on the nearby button and moving Cereza forward to the button at the end of her path. Stepping on it will lower a wall on the right side of her path, opening a𓃲♑ window to the fire.
Have Water Cheshire put out that fire with Aquastream, and move Cereza back to step on the revealed button.
Move Cheshire forward and face toward Cereza's path to use Aquastream on the large box. This will push the box out of the way, and Cereza can begin moving up her path after Cheshire clears any of Puca's fire magic obstacles.
Destroy the gates on Cheshire's side with a Slash attack, and place Cereza and Cheshire o🎐n the buttons on both thꦜeir sides.
Move Cheshire back quickly and aro🐼und the corner to go north on the right side of his path while Cereza continues to the next button.
Place Cheshire and Cereza on their respective buttons simultaneously in order to loꦅwer the large wall into the second 🐬section.
Turn Cheshire into his Stone Mode and block the turret lasers while moving Cereza up toward the wall blocking her path. Then move Cheshire to the button to clear her way. Put out any fire traps with Aquastream and mo🌺ve Cereza onto the button on her side.
As you move Cheshire up, Cereza must continue on her side through four sets of timed spike traps. Ru🦂n across during their openings and ꦆstep on the buttons along the way.
When Cheshire's final button is revealed, step onto it and put out the fire on Cereza's with Aquastream.
When they are both in position, the door will ope✱n, and you can enter the nex༒t phase.
Thankfully, the last phase is a lot like the first, but there are two Affinities this time.
Defeating any of the Affinities without repairing the Iron Maiden fast enough will result in them respawning, so once one Affinity is defeated, race to repair it.
This section of the fight is particularly annoying due to Puca's magic support always targeting Cereza, and any damage dealt to Cereza will require her to start the Regenerate dance if she's begun using it. Therefore, it isn't safe to attempt using Regenerate on the Iron Maiden before an Affinity is defeated.
Once the Iron Maiden is prepared, damage the Affinities until the option to knock them into the Iron Maiden appears. When defeated, Puca will fall to the ground and grant you the opportunity to attack.
You'll have to repeat this process twice in order to win the fight.
Winning will result in Puca hitting a big red button to eject himself and cause a minor explosion. This will, in turn, open your path again to the Fire Elemental Core.

Wait for a chest to appear, opening it for a Vitality Petal. Then, gather the resources on your way to the Elemental Core. Just like with previous cores, attack it with Cheshire to absorb its powers.
Fire Mode Cheshire can spit fireballs with his new R attack: "Pyroblast." It can:
- Damage enemies.
- Melt ice targets (brambles, pillars, trees).
In addition, Cereza can also now absorb sources of fire to put out blazing fire traps.
With these abilities in hand, venture to the right of the "Fire Shrine" area until you reach an object that looks like a very small volcano. Absorb its powers to turn off the fire traps blocking your path. This will reveal an elevator device you should activate with Witch's Pulse.
At the bottom, you'll face three fae in an ambush. One of them is an elite warrior, but otherwise, they're not that concerning. Defeat the faeries and absorb the nearby fire source to reveal a second elevator you need to take.
From the bottom of the elevator, run right and across the bridge toward the Arcane Lantern and White Wolf.
Once they're done conversing, you can enter a frozen area blocked with icy brambles.
Use your Pyroblast to burn and melt t♈he brambles, clearing your way forward.
On the other side, an elite warrior faerie will appear with an Ice Shield.
Use Fire Cheshire to attack with either standard Slash or Pyroblast🦹. This will take down their shield, and you can defeat them normally.
After it's defeated, two more enemies will spawn: a Sparcanagh and another enemy with an Ice Shield. Defeat them both to end combat.
Continue down the set of natural stairs until you see two icy pillars blocking the path on the right. Use Pyroblast to mel🌌t them and reveal a path with a continuous laser.
Stone Cheshire can be used to block the laser while Cereza crosses over to a frozen chest. Move Cheshire out of the laser, transform to Fire Mode, and melt the chest's outer layer with Pyroblast.
After collecting you🐟r resour𒅌ces, return to the main path.
Use Pyroblast to make a path forward through the ice pillars and defeat the faerie waiting in ambush inside one of them. On the cliffside is a bridge flower. Grow it to reach the other side and approach the moon symbol on the ground.
After speaking with Morgana, you'll be thrust into the next chapter with all the game's abilities under your belt and your final goal in sight.
