A newcomer to the franchise, Viola had a lot to prove herself. Though she may come up short in gameplay compared to Bayonetta, she is bursting at the seams with character in terms of design and personality. She comes off abrasive and punk just from looks, but she's actually shy and really looks up to Bayonetta, wanting to make her proud.
The game is pretty aware she's a newcomer to all of this, too, and stands out like a sore thumb. As such, she makes it a point to proclaim her name, quite a bit. Maybe even too much. This quote refers to specifically when she introduces herself in China, with an expletive or two thrown in for good measure. She's a real star.

One of Bayonetta's earliest quotes in the series is this, a playful threat aimed at Rodin when insinuating that she may not be capable enough to fend for herself. Bayonetta herself quotes it as being an American phrase, very much in contrast with her lady-like British accent.
This quote is actually followed up in Bayonetta 2, where Rodin says "Just make sure you don't bust a cap in my ass" in a fairly similar scene.

Rodin himself is actually a man of few words, unlike our leading lady Bayonetta. But when he speaks, it's usually worth listening to. In the opening scene of the original, Bayonetta is disguised as a nun at a graveyard before massacring the attending angels. After a thorough bout of sacrilege, a tombstone shatters off Rodin's head, followed by this quote.
This is again followed up in Bayonetta 2's prologue when Rodin (this time dressed as Santa, of course) witnesses Bayonetta wreak havoc before catching a model plane and once again proclaiming "Beautiful" before again shattering a signpost on his head.
8 "Let's Rock, Baby!"
Bayonetta has many a one-liner filled with her undeniable energy. Though this one actually has a history much older than her. This quote is a famed quote from Dante from the original Devil May Cry. The director of Bayonetta, Hideki Kamiya, was also the dirꦜector of the first Devil May Cry and threw in this line as a not-too-subtle reference.
In the context of Bayonetta, she says this before launching into battle with one of the game's many bosses, Iustitia. She even does a similar pose.

This is another of Bayonetta's well-known quotes. And even though it's from a taunt in Bayonetta 2, it gained its fame from her taunt in Super Smash Bros. That said, it is still incredibly in-character for her and has quite a bit of punch in Smash when she says it to a character like, say, Joker.
