During the game's initial reveal, it was announced that Criterion, the team behind the most recent Need for Speed entries, would be h♍andling the campaign, effectively putting the racing series on ice. Now, in a new interview, the game's ex🤡ecutive producer has shed light on what fans can expect in the mode, including some of it🐈s inspirations.

The Campaign Will Balance Narrative With Major Action-Heavy Setpieces

, in a , executive producer Philippe Ducharme shared that Alex Garland's Civil War film is o𒁃ne of the campaign's inspirations.

"Some of the things that we’re pushing [in this game], the film is actually a good reference," Ducharme said. For reference, the film follows citizen journalists documenting 😼the titular C💞ivil War in modern-day America.

Creative director Roman Campos-Oriola echo💃ed those sentiments, adding, "The elements we’re really interested in is the concept of talented but ordinary people pu♊t in extraordinary situations. That creates a very interesting dynamic in terms of relationships with other people. These are elements we’re looking to capture in the single player."

That's not the only inspiration, as the duo also cited 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Space, specifically 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Dead Space remake and its ability to balance tension.

"On Dead Space, we t⛎alked a lot about the curve of tension," Ducharme said. "Hoꦛw to go from beat to beat, having the highs and the lows to keep players hooked, and even play with their expectations a little bit. It’s obviously very different in a game like Battlefield. But we still brought that mentality over."

The inspirations are helping create a campaign that will seemingly manage to balance heavy narrative sequencing with the b🅺lockbuster setpieces that first-person shooters, including Battlefield, have come to own. Hope𒉰fully, it won't be too long to see how these inspirations translate into gameplay.
