During a Haunting Case, the choices you make, whether it's between Red and Antea or when they interact with individual💧s related to the case, do not affect the overall story.
The only decision that truly matters and influences the course of the story is the one you make at the closure of the Haunting Case.
Investigate The House
Once you arrive at the house you need to investigate for this case, step inside and examine the items highlighted in green to gather information about th꧂e case you're about to tackle.
Next, you'll notice a bucket near the bed that you can interact with as Antea. This interaction will reveal some numbers in the room, so make sure to interact with them before leaving the house.
Follow The Map To The "Three Oaks"
After the objective is updated, you'll need to head to the location marked on the map, which is northwest of the house. In order to get there, go behind the house and you'll find some rocks that you can pass through, leading you to the location.
Once you arrive, you'll hear a woman speaking French. Mak﷽e your way to her and engage in conversation to learn more about her.
Follow The Trail Of Numbers
After the conversation with Prudence, switch to Antea and you'll notice a green trail to the left; follow it. As you follow the trail towards the first objective, a ghost will appear and speak to you as you get inside the cave.
Before exiting the cave, be sure to retrieve an item on the right of where the ghost appeared, hidden behind some wood𓆏en barrels where the ghost appeared.
Moving on to the next objective, continue following the trail as Antea. You'll eventually come across an item that you can interact with, revealing a memory from the past regarding this case. Once the objective is updated, head to the new location to track down the ghost.
Track Down The Ghost And Talk To Him
Head towards the objective marked on the map. After encountering the ghost, he'll throw a rock at you, initiating a fight with a few enemies.
Once you've dealt with the enemies, switch to Antea and follow the trail again. This will lead you to an object on a rock that you can reveal using Antea.
Interact with the revealed object to learn the truth about what happened between the two involved in this case. Afterward, you'll finally be able to speak to the ghost himself.
Following the conversation and gaining a full understanding of the case, Prudence will suddenly appear and speak with you.
Bring Closure
During the conversation with Prudence, you'll reach the end of the Haunting case where you need to bring closure to it. As usual, you'll have three choices:
- Blame Prudence: Sacrifice her. This decision will contribute to Antea's Resurrection ritual if you want to bring her back to life.
- Ascend Thomas: Gently release his ghost with a Release ritual.
- Banish Thomas: Perform a Banishment ritual on the ghost.
