Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden - How To Defeat 🐎The Puppetee🦄r
"Free... me."
After you reach Hunter's C𒆙amp in the Dark Woods, you will notice that the peౠople there are always mentioning a Beast in the woods that they are all afraid of, and your work as a Banisher is to get rid of it and see if it has anything to do with the curse that haunts New Eden.
The Beast Attacks
The Beast has three chunks of health, and after you deplete each one, its weakpoint will change.
The most common attack is when the Beast performs a two-swing combo with its pawns when you are close to it.
When you are at a distance, the Beast will charge toward you and usually end up falling to the ground after reaching the other side of the arena. This is probably your perfect timing to deal damage or heal when needed.
There is an indication that will pop up on its head before it does its charge move.
Another attack the Beast performs when you are close is when it bashes its head forward toward you and then up before finally bashing you again downward. Much like the charge move, you will get an indicator on its face when it will make this attack.
If you happen to be behind the Beast, it will execute a counter-attack by quickly turni🐻ng towards you and launching an attack.
During the latter half of the Beast's health, it occasionally summons two dogs to fight on its side. The﷽ Beast will continue to perform the attacks mentioned earlier, dep𓂃ending on your distance from it.
In the final portion of its health, alongside its regular attacks, the Beast will summon orbs that can damage you once they are near.
The Beast Strategy
The Beast's attacks are quite predictable, and it's a bit slow, but the challenge in this fight lies in focusing on the weak point during each🐠 🐈chunk of health.
In the first chunk, aim for its head. Since you already have a rifle, you can shoot from a distance. When it charges toward you, run away and keep shooting. Alternatively, you can adopt a more melee approach by relying on the attacks after the Beast charges, as it usually falls down, leaving it vulnerable for a few seconds.
Don't forget to switch to Antea constantly since she essentially doesn't die, even if her spirit meter is empty, helping 💙yo♚u conserve your Decoction.
For its swing combo and bashing attacks, these can be easily dodged to either side, or꧋ you can always run away from and shoot it with the rifle.
Once you take out its first chunk of health, run toward it and interact to use a Banish attack.
Note that this will not consume your Banish points, so don't worry about that.
During his second chunk of health, the weakspot will change to his front pawn, so all your attacks should be focused on that.
The strategy remains the same; only this time, if the Beast summons the dogs, you want to get rid of them as soon as possible to focus on the Beast only. They are relatively easy ♎to defeat, but they can be annoying if they stick around the fight.
Once again, after you take out his second chunk of health, run toward the Beast and perform the Banish attack.
For the final stage of this boss fight, the weakspot will be his back pawn, and it is a little tricky to shoot with your rifle, so you'll probably rely on a mor❀e close-range approach.
With Antea, you can use her Leap Manifestation to close the distance to the Beast and then attack a few hits before backing off, then switch to Red and approach him again to deal more damage.
Be mindful that this is w▨here he will probably perform more of his counterattacks, so bear that iཧn mind.
The Beast will still summon the dogs every now and then, in addition to the damaging orbs, so it's better to get rid of them as soon as it does.
Now that you've depleted all his health, all you need to do is run toward him and deliver the final Banish blow to defeat the Beast.
