8 🎃 Red Reuniting With Antea

Red clasping his hands with Antea's spirit in a cave.

After following bits and pieces of Antea's ethereal voice, Red finally finds Antea's ghost behind a waterfall in a cave. Upon realizing he's found her, Red's hand starts to glow, and he holds Antea's hands within his, finally reunited with his partner and lover.

Obviously, this is a very romantic moment; who wouldn't feel flustered if someone loved you so much, they'd hope that you'd haunt them after their death? What makes the moment more special, though, is that Red is allowed to 'feel' Antea physically, despite her ethereal form.

7 🔯 Every Time Red Ne🎐eds A Rest

Every time Red settles down near a fire to rest, Antea engages in this really cute, loving behavior: protecting, spending time with, and keeping watch over Red as he sleeps. On one hand, this is a behavior that makes complete sense from a loving partner's standpoint.

What sets this behavior apart, though, is that you have to remember, Antea is still a ghost, and she's fighting a hunger that no mortal has ever felt before; her love for Red transcends her intrinsic need to feed off the living.

6 Red's Just Hanging Out For A Bit

After handling the quest related to Benjamin and J🎐acob, Red will eventually fall victim to a hunting trap just before reaching Thickskin and Kate's camp in the wilderness. As it turns out, even the most seasoned fighters, like Red, can get caught in rudimentary traps.

You've got questions; we got answers!

The funny part is, people from the camp met Red in this sorry state, and didn't even offer to help him out; they just let him hang there, conceding that if he's such a great banisher, he could figure it out himself. Thankfully, Antea's help was able to compensate for the lack of empathy.

5 Justice Isn't Always Delivered With A Clean Cut

Thickskin readying her rifle towards Red with a hostile expression.

After defeating that big, spooky Beast that had been stomping around the woods﷽ causing chaos, you have a decision to mak🌞e regarding Thickskin, give⛄n that you discovered her ruthless secret behind giving people whistles that attract predators.

While there's certainly merit in forgiveness, this moment is for those of you that delivered justice by sacrificing Thickskin; it's important to look out for your people and eliminate problems bogging down the collective as a whole, but Thickskin took ruthless utilitarianism to an entirely new level. Sorry, Kate.

4 𒁃 Fast Travel Done Right ♛

Unlocking fast travel through the Void is one of the best parts of the game. While this isn't inherently a bad thing, it's incredibly refreshing to see a fast travel system that's more than just opening a map at any time and teleporting to waypoints.

Instead, you're afforded a lore-accurate fast travel method filled with risk, adventure, and potential fights with the supernatural. Plus, the entire concept of the Void is cool, a place that somehow exists between the afterlife and the mortal plane, between the incarnate and the invisible.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:After the fight with Aul Saul, Seeker is left in shambles grieving Siridean's passing; she was Seeker's only role model in a place largely devoid of hope. It makes sense that this would feel remarkably crushing, but it's still a remarkably emotional scene; if you shed a tear, you're not alone.

While Seeker likely still feels pain, it's comforting to see them somewhat healed.

2 Deb♏orah Is Finally Set Free ꦬ

Deborah's spirit is seen sitting on the floor with her head resting on her knees and her arms wrapped around herself.

This is likely the least controversial 'best' moment in the game; it's the culmination of the entire story coming to an end. All of your hard work and effort led to this point, and it's a wonderful feeling seeing Deborah's ghost finally receive the justice and peace she deserved all this time.

The residents of New Eden have finally atoned for their actions and misdeed💮s, one way or another, whichever way you deemed fit in your playthrough, and the malignant curse that had been plaguing the land is no more. Well done, banisher.

1 Wait, There's A Second Phase?

The Nightmare rising in the air, getting ready for the second phase of her boss fight.

After laying down a thorough beating on the Nightmare, a brief cutscene shows this terrifying specter trying to convince Deborah to fall once more into the cycle of hatred and retribution. Thankfully, Deborah refuses the Nightmare's pleas.

Unfortunately for you, the Nightmare isn't happy with that, and throws you right into the second phase of the boss fight. It's a real, 'here we go again' moment, but you're likely well-prepared for round two at this point in the game.
