It is safe to say that the Strange Ox is some talented spellcaster hiding in plain sight, whose only goal is to reach Baldur's Gate.

You should not kill him in Druid Grove because you will meet him in each Act, which will reveal more information.

Act Two: Speaking To The Strange Ox In Last Light Inn

Once you make it past the veil of lethal darkness, you will come across s𓃲ome survivors who can lead you toward the Last Light Inn. This is one of the few safe places within the Shadow C♓ursed Lands that is protected from the curse.

The Strange Ox is located in the stables, next to Dammon. He is the one on the farthest right. Once again, you can use a potion or spell of Speak With Animals to find out more about this strange cr♐eature.

Using Persuasion, Perception, or Nature successfully will make the Strange Ox offer you something. He will ask you to✃ touch him and connect minds.

While sharing minds with the Strange Ox, he will show you a bloodbath of images that make no sense. He wil🔥l not te♈ll you anymore after this.

If you attack the Strange Ox in Last Light Inn, he will turn into a Level 6 Ooze blob with 132 HP.

Upon death at Last Light Inn, the ox will drop:

Once again, you will not want to kill him here as you can meet him again in Act 3.

Where Is The Strange Ox In Act 3?

The Strange Ox can be completely missed in Act 3. There are multiple barns and animals around the outskirts of the city, Rivington, but the ox is located in an isolated barn out of the way.

This isolated barn is located at X:38 Y:-146, off the beaten path south of🃏 the refugee donation barn. The ox has been very vague on what he is planning since you met him in Druid Grove, but only🔯 now will he finally open up to you.
