If you're not done speaking with someone, this is a good way to get in those final few questions. Come across a murder scene and want to know the killer? Speaking with the dead 💎in Faerun is an interesting gimmick that can provide unique insights into the vict🐼ims of your party and outside forces.
How To Speak With The Dead
You can speak with any deceased creature through these methods:
- Spell: Speak with the Dead (Level 1)
- Scroll: Speak with the Dead
- Amulet of Lost Voices
- Necromancy of Thay
Scrolls can be found in multiple locations and sold by a number of vendors throughout the Sword Coast. Finding a scroll from bodies or chests is the easiest way to cast this spell. If you find one of these scrolls, it is recommended to hold onto it.
For the time being, only Wizards can learn how to Speak with the Dead from their natural spell list.
In certain dialogue instances, Clerics or Paladins may profane 🐻their words by reciting this spell. An example of this is with the hob💫goblin Dror Ragzlin at the Shattered Sanctum where your class will allow you a one-time cast of this spell.
The list of naturally-learning classes may change if the Cleric's Knowledge Domain from the tabletop game is added to the list of p𓆉layable domains on the official launch or in later content.
The Amulet of Voices, when equipped, can also allow the wearer a cast ♒of Speak with the Dead.
Any character who has read the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Necromancy of Thay will also get a once-per-rest casting of Speak with the Dead. You do not need to pass the book's three saves. Th🦋is can generally only be used with a Player Origin character, and learning the spell will make it so that giving the Necromancy of Thay tᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚo another character is impossible.
Who Can I Use Speak With The Dead On?
Speak with the Dead can be cast on any dead NPC. However, this does not always mean it will work.
Bodies that have been damaged by magical effects (like that Fireball you might be so fond of, or a ) will not be able to be revived 🦄for questions.
Similarly, bodies that have already been brought back once cannot be revived a second time for questions. For example, the bodies of the murdered gnomes in the Decrepit Village cannot be spoken wit❀h if they were revived during combat by the Duergar.
Undead creatures like zombies, vampires, or skeletons can also not be asked❀ questions.
