In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3, you can hurt those who oppose you in many ways. To save the day (or conde𒅌mn it even more), you'll have to fight, whether it's with weapons, spells, or your bare hands. What these things have in common is that the amount of raw damage you're causing isn't the only important thing. You also have to worry about the 🌄type of damage.

Between fire, ice, poison, thunder, psychic, and more, there are many damage sources, and they are all relevant, as certain enemies are resistant (taking half damage), immune (taking no damage), or even vulnerable (taking twice as much damage). Whic🉐h one is the best out♛ there?

We highly recommend not focusing solely on a single damage type, eﷺven if it's effective in most scenarios. Fire is good, for example, but only having fire-damage spells will get you stuck on an enemy immune to it. Variety is always important.

12 Poison

Poison has always been a problematic damage type in Dungeons & Dragons, and things stayed mostly the same here. Though poisoning a target is useful, as it gives 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:them a disadvantage to their attacks, too many creatures are either resistant or immu♑ne to this type of damage, and none are vulnerable to it.

You can even get resistance rather easily depending on which race you're playing with - which is useful in the early ꦿgame, as many monster-like enemies can use poison. But for you, it's hard to use this on enemies effectively.

11 Slashing🌼 And Piercing 𝄹

Scimitar+1 and Cold Snap icons, from Baldur's Gate 3

Unless your weapon is magical, it's best not to keep these da🐼mage types for too long. Too many enemies are resistant or even immune to them. Even when you do manage to find a sword whose damage is magical, there's still a good chance of the opponent being resistant to it.

Some Slashing and Piercing weapons are worth keeping, so don't ignore them just for these damage types, but that will be because of their unique features or secondary damage type - besides, half damage is still damage. It also doesn't help that these two are bad at breaking things that may be blocking yourᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ path, with walls being immune to Slashing and resistant to Piercing.

10 ꦛBludgeoning

Bonegrinder icon from Baldur's Gate 3

Among the regular weapons, Bludgeoning takes the crown. For one, there are enemies vulnerable to it - you'll find breaking skeletons easy with a hammer, and it's even effective against one of the toughest bosses in the game. Few enemies are immune to it, too. Still, resistance will often happen, so a magical hammer with secondary da🍎mage types is still a better deal.

It's also a lot more efficient at breaking stuff when necessary, meaning that even if your melee characters have found a nice spear or sword, we reღcommend you leave a hammer or maul in their inventory in case it becomes necessary to swap your weapon.

9 Acid

Melf's Acid Arrow icon from Baldur's Gate 3

Acid wins against th꧂e default weapons, mostly due to not having to worry about resistance as much. Acid also helps due to its acid condition, which reduces the target's AC (Armor Class) by two, making it easier to hit.

In other words, carrying around a few Acid Vials to throw against enemies who are hard to hit is a good strategy to pull off. The most notorious spell here is , causing substantial damage on a hit and shortly after, depending on whether the enemy passes a sav♕ing throw.

8 Necrotic

Circle of Death icon from Baldur's Gate 3.

Evil powers aren't very effective when you have so many forces of evil to fight aga🔜inst. Many enemies have access to this power and are also resistant to it. It doesn't help that no one is vulnerable to Necrotic damage either.

Still, we recommend having Chill To♔uch as your list of cantrips - as long as the enemy isn't some evil creature, it'll likely hit full damage. And it prevents enemies from healing, which is quite usefꦐul sometimes.

7 Fire

Fireball icon from Baldur's Gate 3.

Fire is complicated. There are quite a few resistant to it, some even immune. Still, some of the most destructive spells in the game us🌠e raw fire damage. They don't tend to cause other effects on the target besiꩲdes burning, but the damage itself is enough to consider them.

Everyone enjoys a good , after all. We highly recommend fire spells, but we also recommend alternatives for fighting fiends or🍸 Tieflings. Wet enemies also become resistant to it automatically.

Don't forget: 🌌Yo♌u can always examine an opponent during the fight to check all of their resistances, immunities, and vulnerabilities.

6 Psychic

Vicious Mockery icon from Baldur's Gate 3.

There aren't many enemies vulnerable to psychic damage, but there aren't many enemies resistant or immune to it either. It's 🐲also very logical t🦩o pick up whether it'll work or not - an animated armor, for instance, is immune since it is just an object without a mind of its own for you to affect and damage.

Surprisingly enough, Mind Flayers are not resistant to it either, so you can strike even these tough opponents with psychic damage without hav♚ing to worry about your attack failing. Spells that cause psychic damage also tend to come with nasty effects, such as Phantasmal Killer not letting the target move and cau🌺sing a disadvantage in their attacks.

5 Cold

Cone of Cold icon from Baldur's Gate 3.

Cold damage is in a weird situation, similar to fire, due to resistance and immunity. But there's a fജun trick here: If you get an enemy wet, they become vulnerable to cold damag🧔e, even if they're naturally resistant.

Combining cold spells with the likes , you can control who is weak to your , for example, regardless of who they are.

Be careful when mixing cold damage and water, as you can create𒉰 a slippery area. It helps knock enemies prone, but the same can happen to your characters!

4 Lightning

Call Lightning icon from Baldur's Gate 3

Lightning is somewhat similar to fire and cold, too. Its default number of resistance/immunity is lower, which is a plus, and the Create Water trick also works here, as wet enemies are instantly vulne♚rable to Lightning damag☂e.

It also helps that some of the hardest minions in Act 3 are vulnerable to this damage type. can turn some of the toughest fights in the 𓆉end i🗹nto a complete joke.

3 Thunder

Thunderwave icon from Baldur's Gate 3

Thunde꧅r is a bit safer. Though the Water tricks can make Cold or Lightning more effective, Thunder doesn't require a bunch of shenanigans to hurt people. It has fewer resistances and immunity, so you can use it without worrying too much.

Just be careful with the spell. It can make enemies immune to Thunder damage, as it's a sound-based damage type. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Very few enemies use Silence, though, so be careful not 🧜to stop your own damage her🧜e accidentally.
