Backbone has dropped the translucency and gone with a pastel orange for the back, the same color that has bee🎃n applied to one of the buttons on the front. The rest of the controller is black with a Death Stranding logo printed on the back, right in the middle. The Ba🧸ckbone connects to your mobile device via a USB-C connection, so as long as your mobile has that capability, it should be compatible with the new Death Stranding model.
What might not be compatible with your mobile device is the free copy of Death Stranding that comes with the new Backbone. An iOS port of Death Stranding's Director's Cut launches next week, but only the latest model of iPhone will be capable of running it. You'll still be able to p𒈔lay Death Stranding on your Death Stranding Backbone, you'll just have to stream it via another device.
