Ubisoft Reportedly Has A Plan To Protect Devs From Harassment When Assassin's Creed Shadows Launches
Assassin's Creed Shadows launched this week, and Ubisoft has reportedly alrꩵeady put a plan in place to protect devs from harassꦆment.
Luckily, with only two Samurai D꧟aisho to track down, this area is one of the shorter ones in the game and will make good use of your time if you're interested in grinding for legendary gear in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Whether 🐟for story purposes or hunger for loot, this is everything you'll need to know about Hiraiyama Fort.
Where Is Hiraiyama Fort?
Head to The Warfields section of Harima, and carved into the mountains you'll find Hiraiyama Fort. Even though this location seems way out of the way, you'll find yourself in this area for othღer reasons if you're patient enough.
This section of the map is also part of the quest 'Retrieve the Ox's invasion plan,' when you're hunting Bessh🌳o Harumasa.
You can leave th𒀰is area untouched until that point in your journe𒁃y, then plunder the fort during that.
How To Find & Assassinate The First Samurai Daisho
Once you arrive at the fort, look to the left, where you'll see a small wall you can scale to ൲get in♍to the Fort. Enter this way, then survey the area.
Cross the rooftops silently to the opposite side of a small courtyard, and silently take out the guard watching from above on a ledge. With that guard down, scale some scaffolding to climb up onto a building.
The first Samurai Daisho is right outside the large building you just scaled up to.
The easiest way to get a quick, silent kill on 🅺him is to cross over using the wire toward the opposi🦩te rooftop.
While on the right side of the wire, toss a Shinobi Bell to distr🐷act the guard looking at the Samurai Daisho and his friend.
With that guard distracted, equip your tanto, then jump and double assassinate both the Samurai Daisho and the other person next to him.
Be quick and deal with the other guard by assassinating him in the bush, or you'll have a situation to deal with.
How To Find & Assassinate The Second Samurai Daisho
From the courtyard with the first Daisho, 💜move to the nearby watch tower and quietly assassinate the guard in it, then jump on top to get a better view of the area.
You'll see the second half of the fort continue further up the mountain. Head to the right side to progress as there ar🍃e fewer guards to dea💯l with this way.
First, take out the one guard on the ground working on some equipment, then scale the wall on the far ri♓ght. From here, rush to defeat the nearest guard with you on the scaffolding, then take care of the other two guards in this courtyard as you see fit.
Once done, scale the wall to your left, then🎐 progress up the path into the n⛄ext courtyard.
You'll find the second Samurai Daisho in this courtyard, and you'll want to enter fr♕om the path on the right to use that route to him.
The quickest and quiet😼est path to take here is to:
- Wait until the Daisho is patrolling the western part of this courtyard area, then follow his path at a distance by circling the right side until you reach a small tower.
- From here, assassinate the first guard behind the guard on the platform.
- With the first guard down, sneak over and wait dangling from the platform until the second Samurai Daisho approaches.
- Quickly assassinate the guard on the platform just as the Daisho passes.
- Then, crouch and rush over to finish the second Daisho off too.
You should aim to get to the Daisho when they're just past the bell alert tower, which you should sabotage when convenient👍.
What Rewards Do You Get From Hiraiyama Fort?
With both Samurai D🌺aisho defeated, the loot of Hiraiyama Fort is yours to claim, including the coveted Legendary Chest that awaits you.
Side Loot
There's a good deal of side loot to find in Hiraiyama Fort, so we've broken it down into a few sections so you can focus o𒆙n tracking down the loot that sounds most interesting to you.
- Key: You can find the key to this fort in a house on the northernmost side of the fort, heavily guarded by a few patrolling samurai.
You should take out the guy standing closest to a shed on the northeastern side of the fort, then take out the patrolling samurai before he sees you. Circle back and clear out the lone guard standing in front of a small house with a chest in it.
- First Door: There are two doors to open with the key, the first being the shed you pass by in the central northern part of the fort, on the way to the key.
This door has two blue chests with gear and resources you can s🍸muggle.
- Second Door: Then, to open the other shed, take the key back to the small shed you jumped on while taking the path along the right side of the second Samurai Daisho's courtyard.
-
Additional Loot:
- There's a small chest inside the building with open windows after you take out the first guard.
- Right next to where you killed the first Samurai Daisho is a chest with a rare weapon in it.
- You'll find a red chest holding a cosmetic outside the first door, nearest where you found the key.
- In the same room with the key and legendary chest, you'll find a chest with a rare weapon.
- There's a house with a chest of crafting materials and Mon on your way to the key area, where you defeat the patrolling samurai.
-
In the northwestern part of the fort, you'll find another small area with a campfire and three guards.
- Take out the guard closest to you behind some dividers, then get the one in the tower furthest from you. Defeat the guard near the fire, then claim the small chest of supplies opposite him.
- Diagonal from this chest is another small shed with a cosmetic reward and a ration box.
There are a few other smaller chests scattered, but these will be thꦏe most convenie✃nt and worthwhile.
Legendary Chest
You'll find the red Legendary Chest 🥀for the ♑fort in the same house where you find the key to the doors. It includes:
- 3,000 Exp
- An Engraving
- Yami no Kage Legendary Katana for Naoe
This will be an exceptionally useful Katana for Naoe and is a great r💖eward considering that you only had to d💛efeat two Samurai Daisho to claim it.
