The focus is less on the actual assassinations and more so on the RPG elements, for better or for❀ worse. With such a different gaming layout and objectives then you might be used to, your first playthrough was probably full of some interesting discoveries. Here are 10 things we learned during our first official playthrough.

10 ꦕ You have tons of romance options

Romance is a new feature in Assassin's Creed Odysseyꦓ that has never been present in the franchise before. Going into the game knowing that, you might not realize just how many options you have. It can be surprising when you realize that little heart option turns up for many characters in the game.

Even better, you can decide on your charact꧒er's sexuality. Regardless of if you're playing as Kassandra or Alexios, every romantic option will be available to you, no matter the gender. It's a nice level of personalization and one that is perfectly sensible.

9 The map is massive 𒅌 🐭

When you start the game and jump into the main mission, you might play for several hours and think you're well in♛to the main story. But then, surprise! It turns out you're only in the prologue.

The prologue alone takes about 13 hours of time to play through, potentially longer depending on how much of the extra stuff you decide to do. You'll realizeꦐ fast that the game is seriously massive. You can play for well over 100 hours and there is a seemingly endless 💞amount of content for you to do, especially if you got the season pass and DLC content.

8 🍌 Kassandra i🌺s better than Alexios

This might be a personal opinion, but, then again, it appears much of the internet agrees. Even if you play as Alexios on your first pꦐlaythrough, Kassandra as the villain is far more charismatic than Alexios is.

You'll probably be drawn to playing as her in the next game you play just based on what you experience seeing her involved in the Cult of Kosmos. She has more of a lively personality and the voice acting for her character jusಌt 𝐆comes across better than Alexios.

7 𒈔 There is an overwhelming amount of things to do

Speaking of having a giant map, there is an epic amount of side content to do. There are side missions that re𒉰spawn in addition to the side missions with genuine story content. Then there are mercenaries to hunt down, cult members to keep track of, vast seas🐲 to explore, even islands you can check out that you might not visit through the main storyline!

The game involves an epic amount of self-exploration if you plan♌ to see everything. Make sure you hit every question mark and get all the synchronization spots to fast travel around with ease.

6 Upgrading and disꦗmantling armor is important 🐭

At the beginning of your game, you will probably realize fast how important it is to have good armor and weapons. It will make your combat much more skilled if you dismantle stuff you're not using and upgrade wh🃏at you are frequently to keep yourself at the top of your game.

The first play🅷through might have you st𝄹ruggling a little to figure it all out as you get acclimated to the games system but once you work it out you'll learn quickly how to keep your tools at the top of their game.

5 You🦩'll learn there are multiple storylines

Oh did you think the only story of the game was to find your family and reunite them? Well, that's not exactly the case. There are actually three main storylines, and that's not even beginning to touch on the many side ques꧋ts (which can also become long stretched out journeys of their own!).

Plus, as mentioned before, the DLC brings in its own story that continues off of elements in the ဣgame. There's also genre-crossing with the classical game elements combined with Greek mythology. Your first playthrough can get seriously ⛦overwhelming at times.

4 ❀ Sav𝄹ing frequently helps quite a bit

The first time you die in the game and get kicked back quite a ways, you might realize that you'll want to manually save frequently. Sometimes you might want your own save just in case you de🐽cide you want to do one part of the game differently. Once the game autosaves, you're stuck with that one so it's always a good idea to keep some manual saves going to allow you more freedom.

3 🦋 Shipwrecks are worth checking out 🐼

If you are a completionist, or you just like to explore, you'll make an effort to visit ꦑall the question marks on the map. Even if you're out in the ocean sa🔯iling around on your ship, you need to keep an eye out for salvage and shipwrecks.

Some of the best treasures in the game will be found in the shipwrecks and you don't want to missꦺ out on your chance to get great weapon improvements and more materials.

2 The legendary animals can be tough and scaꦐry

In one of the lengthiest side quests of the game is Daphnae's and the D𝓰aughters of Artemis. You'll nee꧋d to hunt down the many legendary animals. From the first one you face off against, you will want to be at the appropriate level, probably above it. The legendary animals are no joke.

They are not easy to take down. This is where you'll probably realize you have to upgrade your weapons and armors ASAP to ensure you can have a fig😼🏅hting chance against the many animals. If you accidentally stumble upon one without realizing it then you'll be in for a shock.

1 Level suggestions are important to follow 🀅 🥂

Going off the suggestion to ꦇbe of the right level to go against a legendary animal, in general, you are going to want to always get yourself to the recommended level for each part of the game. You may think they're just a suggestion but in reality, they're there to make your life in the game easier.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey can get extremely difficult in some places and you're not at the right level then you'll find yourself dying over and over again. It's a good idea to get yourself a few levels above the recommendation 💫if you ca🅰n and you'll learn that early on.
