DayZ is the classic survival simulation where players can fight AI zombies in single-player or multiplayer modes. It's possible to freeze or starve to death, although most players tend to die at the hands of other players. The mod introduced a lot of the mechanics found in the survival genre today, such as a food and temperature meters. It's a little crazy to think that were it not for Arma 3 and its dedicated modding community, the entire genre might look very dܫifferent than it does today.

The creator of the Arma 3 mod put in a lot of meticulous detail with the modding tools they had at their disposal for this singleಞ-player adventure. The AI can be a real pain, however, as the two games don't always match up in style. A lack of cover will lead to a number of resets, which, although plentiful, are not common enough that your progress will be hindered too badly.

is one of the most prevalent mods in Arma 3 and is essentially just DayZ without the zombies. It boasts a huge map to explore in a multiplayer survivor simulation and plays out like an endless battle royale, allowing the player to respawn as many times as they want and𝓀🔯 do just about anything to survive.
It is arguably the precursor to all modern battle royal games, including Player Unknown's Battleground. Without the zombies, it is effectively a massively multiplayer experience where you fight to keep your character alive for as long as possi✨ble.
