Arkane Lyon, Bethesda, and Xbox just announced a new game based on Blade, the Living Vampire who can walk under the sun without turning into a pile of screaming ash. We don't have a release date yet (as it's only "now in development"), but we do know that it's a third-person action-adventure game set in Paris.
The last game Arkane Lyon developed was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Deathloop, which was released back in 2021. Though the last Arkane game in general was Redfall, another title focused on vampires... notice a theme? At any rate, this is the first game Lyon has developed since Xbox's Bethesda acquisition.
Blade hasn't had a standalone video game since Blade 2 in 2002, a tie-in to the movie of the same name. Aside from that, he had a PS1 game and another tie-in for the first movie.
Given that Blade is in very early development, the trailer doesn't show much. We see him at a barber's getting his beard trimmed while a countdown nearing zero is layered on top of the Eiffel Tower, making it explicitly clear where the game is set.
Who Could Be The Villain In Blade?
Blade has had a lot of villains over the years - there's the obvious one, Dracula; his daughter, Lilith Drake; and a vampiric priest called Draconis.
There's also Loxias Crown, a synthetic vampire, a Wolverine clone called Varkis (who is, of course, a vamp), 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the now infamous Morbius, and Deacon Frꦛost, who you no doub꧙t know from the iconic Wesley Snipes movies. There are a lot of possible baddies out there for Arkane to pull from.
Marvel is going all in on Blade. He was a major part of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Midnight Suns, Firaxis Games' superhero-driven tactical RPG, and he's even getting a brand-new MCU film with Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali as the titular Daywalker. Now, we'll be able to step into his big boots and trenchcoat to dole out some vamp justice for ourselves.
