7. Days Gone

via Bend Studio

Metacritic Score: 72/ User Score: 8.0

Bend Studio's Days Gone was one of the most-anticipated upcoming zombie games since it was announced at E3 2016. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 4-exclusive just didn’t quite live up to the hype. A decent story is brought down by characters that are hard to believe, not to mention the bugs and audio issues that plagued the✤ game at launch. It’s one of those games that players will either love or hate. A new Survival mode is slated✨ to come to the game in June, which could bring some fun new gameplay dynamics, but overall, Days Gone provided little 🐠more than 𒅌a middle-of-the-road experience.

Indie game Yuppie Psycho might be May’s most intriguing title. The genres of Survival Horror, Graphic Adventure, and Puzzle-solving combine to create a unique adventure that takes players through the trials and tribulations of (lit♌erally) surviving their first days at a new job. 16-bit graphics and cutscenes of a dystopian society (inspired by games such as Silent Hill and Deadly Premonition) add to the game’s intrigue.
