Haru plays the role of the sole family member to Subaru, whose parents recently died in an accident. This reliable cat makes sure that Subaru takes care of himself, and if he is eating properly. Haru had a hard life on the road before꧂ he got adopted by Subaru, and it tries to return the favor🐷 to him.

Haru also expresses his loyalty when it tries to ꦰprotect Haru from t🅷he ghosts that only the cat can see. However, Haru can sometimes end up causing inconveniences to Subaru, while trying to take care of him.
