Just when you think you’re nearing the end of , obtaining your inventory upgrades and besting the Manticore puzzle to reach the final credits, a door opens on the side of the room and ushers you into even mor🅷e content than before.

Animal Well is a combat-free Metroidvania that begs you to think creatively and solve some mind-bending puzzles (ones you might not even realize are puzzles, even), but the fun has to come to an end sometime. There are three “layers” to Animal Well, and what starts simply eꦚnough leads to you unraveling one heck of a riddle༒.

We'll be doing our best to spoil𝔍 as little of the endings themselves as we can, as Animal Well is best experienced knowing as little as you can!

First Ending: Rolling The Credits

The first layer of Animal Well is the one you begin playing the game in, when you know nothing about the world and need to explore this creepy cavern to find your inventory items, solve puzzles, and gradually 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:collect all four of the flames scattered around the map.

The tools you'll need to collect before being able to proceed toward the first ending are the ones you use to navi🔴gate the overworld and solve your puzzles:

• 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Disc, which can be used to hit distant switches, distract enemies, and more.
• 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The B. Wand, to help your blob reach new heights.
• 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Yoyo, a neat little toy that can break obstacles and change the directions platforms move.
• 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Slinky, which you can use to press buttons when your character needs to be elsewhere in the room.

Once you have all your tools, and you've bested the four main bosses to light all four beacons in the main room at the bottom of the well, jump down into the new passageway that opens beneath you. Here, you'll face another lengthy puzzle that rewards you with your last upgrade for this layer, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Lantern, which lets you di💫spel spirit clusters a🥂nd see in the dark.

You won't be able to feel this invincible for long, though, since the boss of Animal Well's first layer, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Manticore, stands between you and the end credits. It's a tricky, time-sensitive puzzle that sees you displaying mastery of all your🎶 tools and the things you've learned so far.

After solving the Manticore puzzle, you'll descend into a large, open area. Hit the TNT at the bottom of the room to start a fireworks show as the credits roll. Congrats on reaching the first endiꦺng of Animal Well!

Except, if you'd like, the game isn't over just because you saw the credits. Walk into the room on the right to continue into the next layer.

Second Ending: Going Back Into The Well

Just when you thought you were out, Animal Well pulls you right back in. Explore the house you've just unlocked, and you'll notice several things around the area. There's a television in the main room below a locked door, an enormous clock in the next room just above the timer under the stairs (which logs your playtime), an ominous black statue you can't interact with yet, and a large opening in the furthest room.

To proceed into the second layer of Animal Well, jump into the opening (after using your Lantern to get past the white bird blocking your path). You'll find yourself someplace rather familiar - the room with the four beacons you lit to unlock the area lead🦂ing to the Manticore fight, which asks more questions t🐲han it answers.

Welcome to the second layer of Animal Well, which tasks you with re-exploring the same map in different ways, now that you know much more about 🐷it than when you started.

There are several things🥃 to do to get started on exploಌring the second layer, including:

• Finding the B. Wand upgrade back in the area where you ran from the Manticore, which unlocks the ability to blow as many bubbles as you'd like instead of just one.
• Solving the Kangaroo puzzle by tossing Firecrackers at it when it appears and bringing the pieces of K. Shards it drops to a room just off the Bat's cave in the northwest quadrant.
• Grabbing the S. Medal from the area where you bested the Iguana, and using it in the circular recess to unlock new puzzles.
  • This gives you access to one of the best tools in the game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Remote, allowing you to turn platforms on and off at will where possible.

• Obtaining powerful inventory upgrades like (for collecting 32 eggs), which can break through certain platforms and change the layout of rooms.
• Lighting all 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:nine of the candles if you didn't do it in the first layer, which opens additional puzzles in the second layer.

This layer concludes after you've collected every egg.

True Ending: Escaping The Well

Hopefully you've been side-barring your main adventure to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:collect the eggs you've noticed around the map so far in Animal Well, because to unlock the game's true ending and finally escape the well, you'll first need to find and collect all 64 eggs from the map.

Check your map often and look for odd openings in the walls of rooms you've been to already. There are plenty of eggs hidden in ways that you can't access until later in the game, so always double-check. You can also use the remote to sense hidden eggs in the current room.

You'll likely have found several of the eggs naturally as you explore the map in Animal Well, but some of them are particularly well-hidden. Regardless, if you'd like to see Animal Well's true ending, grab all 64 eggs and go to the egg room once you've got them all.

Here, you'll receive egg number 65 as a reward for all your hard work so far. Once you've gotten the egg, return to the Manticore puzzle area and use your UV light to find a room of the left in the top-left room from the puzzle. Inside, you'll find an Incubator, so place egg 65 in and prepare for a second Manticore puzzle.

It seems tougher than it is, if you keep a level head. Go back to the room with one whale fan and use the Top next to the Firecracker in the top corner. This unveils a hidden platform, so use the Wheel to lower the Manticore platform you see here. Nothing happens in the current room, though, so head back to the incubator.

Have the Manticore destroy the false wall on the left to unlock a new room. Use the Remote and B. Ball to break through this next section, and play your Flute at the altar. The Manticore will open its mouth so you can hop inside. We won't give anything away, but after all your 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:hours of hard work and puzzle-solving, this is where you'll see Animal Well's true ending!
