How To Unlock The Paddock
As you rank up your tavern, you'll unlock new features. After you meet Scary the Scarecrow and learn how to garden, and after you speak with the Spirit of the Forest, you'll be prompted to talk to the merchant again.
This time, it's because there's a strange mooing sound from the side of the tavern. Check it out and speak with the cow you find, who will tell you all about the paddock and its many uses.
The first step is to clear away the stumps in the paddock with your axe. On💎ce🎐 all the stumps are clear, you can start ranching!
How To Breed Animals
The main purpose of the paddock is breeding animals, which can be used to make animal products and harvest meat. Breeding the animals requires having two of the same animal in the paddock, along with water and barely.
The troughs on the paddock can hold up to ten water and ten barley. Keeping them filled will ensure that the animals are happy and reproduce while yo♕u go aꦗbout your day.
Check back often to refresh these suppl🦩ies, otherwise you may find that you're out and your animals haven't been working hard.

There doesn't seem to be a cap on how many animals will be in the paddock so long as you ke𓃲ep the water and꧙ feed filled.
To put animals in the paddock, drag and drop them from your inventory t🐟o the outside of your menu. This will spawn the animals around you, al🎃lowing them to get to work.
How To Harvest Animal Products
Animal products will naturally spawn in the paddock while you're away, so long as the animals have food and water. Chickens will lay plenty of eggs, so check back regularly to collect them all.
Eggs will collect in stacks of up to ten, so make sure there'🍸s room in your inventory for all of them!
If you find that you have too many chickens or pigs, you can always downsize and add a few meat dishes to your menu. Take your axe and be mercifully quick with dispatching the excess animals. Afterward, loot their bodies for meat and get cooking!
