Once you've♈ examined these two areas (and the sub-areas near the body), it's time to make some deductions.

After pairing the first two clues together, you'll need to examine the revolver. Choose to examine the cylinder of chambers with ♈ammo in them, and you'll learn more about what happened here.

The following scenes will lead into the second half of the investigations. Once you're given free conꦓtrol again, examine the following:

• The framed jacket on the ground. When asked to point out the contradiction, click on the bullet hole and Deduce using the Victim's Revolver.
  • When presented with the safe, examine the keypad.

This deduction will lead to an examination of the bookshelf behind the victim's original position. Examine the bloody handprints, the books, and the book with a bullet hole on the bottom row.

Deduce the book with a bullet hole in it and present the Crime Scene Notes to point out a contradiction. The faulty assumption here is 'The order of the files'.

With the new aspect, examine the book with a bullet hole and the big gap in the books to the right to proceed.

Start here by talking to Maggey about every dialogue option she has. Present her with the Master Key and then talk to her about the new options that appear, which deal with the key and Jacques Portsman. Then, 🐬examine the following:

• The basketball on the ground.
• The basketball hoop and the door it's next to.
  • The number plate on the door.
  • The doorknob.
  • The basketball hoop.

• The door to Edgeworth's office.
  • The number plate on the door.
  • The doorknob.

• The padded bench to the left.
  • The file underneath the bench.

With this, you can make a deduction!

With this complete, examine Portsman's door again and Deduce the doorknob, using Mr. Portsman's Office as evidence of a contradiction.

State that you need to examine the prints on the doorknob and then, after the quick scene, state that Maggey Byrde's prints should have been on there.

You'll be prompted to examine the f🦄loor this tim🎃e. Look at the following:

• The paper sticking out underneath the door.
• The marks around the basketball hoop base.

Upo♊n the completion of this investigation, you'll return to your office and confront Portsman.
