The🍷 further you ve✃nture out, the more dangerous the type of zombie you'll come across. Learn their types and be prepared.

There's something of a learning curve to this game. Once you have the basics mastered, however, there are plenty🧸 more things that you'll need to learn to become the best survivor you can be.

Updated on October 8, 2024, by Christopher Padilla: 7 Days To Die is finally out of Early Access! After more than a decade of alphas, The Fun Pimps have released what they deem a 'stable' version of the game. It's been a long road, and there have been a myriad of changes in the game's history. As such, some of these entries either need some updating or are completely obsolete. If you want to know how the pros get into triple-digit days, these pro tips will help you get there.

16 Make A Horde Base ♐

A players horde night base, made of stone brick, and surrounded by spike traps.

Every seven days, the moon turns blood red and you’re assailed throughout the night by waves of the hungry dead who know exactly where you are: it's the Blood Moon. While this period la♛sts, it might be tempting to fortify your h🌺ome base and weather the storm.

However, this is a risky proposition, since your home is likely where you keep your🌸 precious loot and even your crafting benches, the latter of which can be hard to replace. Consider making your stand away from home, either by clearing out and fortifying an existing POI or making a base from scratch designed solely to take on the horde.

15 🐓 Choose The Right Armor For The Job

7 Days To Die has an array of armor sets that allow you to tailor you🗹r stats to your playstyle with relative ease.

There ar🌜e some situational sets that aren’t too great in combat but are good at harvesting their relevant resources. They are the Lumberjack (Wood), Miner (Ores), Scavenger (crafting parts), and Farmer (seeds from cro🐓ps)

If you want to play stealthy, you have the Rogue or Assassin sets. Go in hard and smash the horde against your armor clad body? The Raider set will ensure that they break before൲ you do. Want to move swiftly and kick🤪 ass for the Lord? Dress the part with the Preacher outfit.

Each set has a bo𒁏nus if you wear every piece of it and in general, the bonuses from each piece form a cohesive whole.

14 𓆉 Know What To Sell, Scrap, And Keep

Trader Bob, a greay mechanic wearing a bulletproof vest stands behind the counter in 7 Days To Die.

Every item in the game has some use, so consider carefully what you sell to traders or turn into scrap. Thankfully, in every item that caᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚn be used for crafting, you can check on their recipes to see what their components are. You can also see the likely p⛎rice for each item should you sell it.

Some crafted items se🌳ll for far more than what went into making them. For example, Minibike Handlebars. Other items are only made to be sold, namely: Gold, Silver, and Old Cash.

Not all NPC traders are created equally.

Generally, you want to keep Ar🐭mor Parts, which are important for crafting armor and weapon parts for weapon types you’re interested in. ꩲYou can sell the weapon parts you won’t use, but consider keeping Shotgun and Pistol Parts since they are used for crafting base defense turrets.

Every weapon or ar🎉mor above the Primitive and Pipe levels yields the above Parts, but also can sell for a decent amount, so scrap them if you need Parts for craftin❀g.

13 🍸 Consider Selling Books 🦂

A dilapitated book shop and cafe, with stone brick work and a broken down car nearby in 7 Days To Die.

It's all too tempting to immediately read every book and magazine that you acquire to get those sweet, sweet p𝐆erk 🌳points. The thing is, many perks will be pretty useless or weak depending on how you've built your character and what items you use.

It may be a better idea to sell the books you find instead. They can be worth a nice chunk of cash, which you can use 🐲to buy rare resources, crafting materials, or even more useful books.

Also, be sure to check whether or not you've read something before you sell it, which you can see on the top left of the item portrait. A closed book indicates that you haven't read it (books) or maxed the skill (magazinꦗes). Reading an already-read book or a maxe𓄧d skill gives you a little XP and nothing else.

12 Sur🌊vive The Early Game With Overpowered Weapons

A fully armored man swings a giant hammer at a zombie, sending it flying in 7 Days To Die.

There are three weapons that come to mind when you ask, "What's the best weapon to go for?" and it's because they are just fantastic for dealing with the early stages of the game. These are the Sledgehammers, the Pistol, and the Pipe ✨Machine Gun

Sledgehammers is a great tool for inflicting pain on zombies — it's quite good at stunning them if you get headshots. This i♔s true for the Primitive-class Stone Sledgehammer, which is trivially easy to make. The Pistol, on the other hand, allows you to panic-fire to kill close zombies, and is even more useful if you can land headshots. It's also it's likely the first "real" firearm you get just from looting.

Should you loot or even craft it, consider holding on to the Pipe Machine Gun until you get out of the Primitive/Pipe-class weapons. It can spit a lot of damage downrange quickly and uses the common 9mm round. Even if you're not t🃏raining in it (Fortitude), this weapon outclasses the other options in raw DPS.

11 𒆙 Rooftop Farming Is The Future

Farm Plots with plants in them in 7 Days To Die.

When you're settled into a place and have begun making a base, consider heading up to your roof and starting a garden. Not only are they quite aesthetically pleasing, but they are unlikely to be damaged during horde nigh꧅ts.

You can harvest rotting flesh and small amounts fr𝐆om corpses already existing in the environment. Killed zombies don't count.

Making Farm Plots is quite easy. You get rotting flesh from harvesting undead animals like vultures and dogs as well as road gore and corpses. Nitrate powder is mined from nitrate nodes, which are decently common and are identified as a white square on the map. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Clay is ಞgotten from digging at grassy blocks and regardless of bioꦓme, there's always a layer of dirt blocks that yield clay.

10 Mine Your Ow🐓n Business

One of your first priorities in 7 Days to Die will be optimizing your resource gathering. One goal on your to-do list,🤪 then, should be to get a nice pickaxe as soon as you can. This will make gathering resources such as stone, nitrate, coal, and iron much quicker.

But that's not all - definitely consider putting points into the Miner 69er and Motherlode perks to♈ substantially improve your mining activities. A little goes a long way and you'll thank yourself 🅠when you have to make fewer trips for resources.

9 Don't Forget Your Wrench

Having a tool with you to disassemble all the broken electronics scattered across the world is vital to progression. Keep your Wrench (or in the future, Ratchet or Impact Driver) handy in order to salvage as many resources as you can from cars, sinks, air conditioners, and so on.

You'll want to get a Wrench ASAP, since one of the components⛄ of a Workbench are mechanical parts, which can only be found if you're lucky. The Workbench opens up your options for crafting, allowing you to craft 😼Iron-level tools and weapons as well as armors above Primitive.

This will be especially🅘 useful when you start diving into the more mechanical side of crafting, as you'll always be in need of gas, engines, and mechanical parts for your projects.

8 How To Deal With Vultures ꦦ ♓

The player holding a bloody bone knife, looking at a recently killed infected vulture on the road in front of a field in 7 Days To Die.

Zombie vultures are perhaps the most annoying and frustrating enemy in the game. They seem to come from nowhere, may not even announce themselves with a squawk, and can even infect you witౠh a disease if they manage to attack you.

Vultures are a great source of feathers for arrows and 🍌rotten meat for farm plots and other craftables.

This is why you will absolutely want a gun with a fast rate of fire — a pisไtol will do. Vultures are speedy things and you may need to spray a lot of bullets into the air before you get a grasp 👍on their movement patterns. However, their moves get more predictable when they attack, since they just swoop in at you. To kill them with melee weapons, you have to wait for them to attack.

Keep honey and antibiotiꦬcs on you at all times too, to deal with pesky infections.

7 Split The Responsibilities With Friends ꦚ
