The normal zombies you come across can be easy enough to deal with, especially once you've got some gear, but you'll soon find those aren't the only ones around. Armor, acid-spit, fire, and m♐obility are just a few of the unique abilities some zombies have, and some out there aren't even human.

All Zombie Types, Explained

Player character approaching an idle Radiated normal Zombie in a room in 7 Days To Die.

There are a total of 34 types of zombies you can encounter in the game, not counting Feral or Radiated variants, and they can be split into four categories:

  • Normal Zombies
  • Armored Zombies
  • Special Zombies
  • Zombie Animals

Normal and Armored zombies share the same general stats and only differ visually.

The only other exception to this rule is Feral and Radiated Zombies, a special variant that almost every type of zombie can appear as, but each of these variants adds a set of abilities to the given zombie on top of what they usually have.

  • With Feral Zombies, their eyes glow bright yellow, and they have increased speed, damage, and resistance to damage and knockback.
  • With Radiated Zombies, their entire body is bright green, and they also have increased speed, damage, and resistance, while also regenerating their health over time.

All Normal Zombie Types

Normal zombies are the most common type of zombie you'll come across. They can appear in every biome and building type, and no one type of them is more common or uncommon than another.

They don't possess any special abilities or stats, and can generally be killed in a few hits, depending on what weapon you're using, what tier that weapon is, and where you strike them.

Their biggest strength comes in their numbers and potentially inflicting a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:status effect like a broken bone.

All armored zombies take around 20 percent less damage overall from all sources unless you use armor-piercing or AP ammo or weapons, and some of them, like the Zombie Biker, also take slightly less headshot damage since they wear a helmet.

They're often the most dangerous type of zombie you can encounter, and at times you may see multiple of them in one horde, especially if a Blood Moon is happening, or you're on a high-tier job.
